How long does permanent makeup last?
- Permanent makeup can last anywhere from approximately eight months to several years before a color boost is needed. Longevity varies depending on the service, your skin, and how closely you follow the aftercare instructions.
Does permanent makeup hurt?
- Some services may cause mild discomfort, but everyone’s sensitivity is different. A topical numbing product is applied to help keep you as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure.
How do I choose the right brow technique?
- During your consultation, Emily will evaluate your skin type and discuss the results you want. She will then recommend the brow technique that best fits your skin and personal vision.
What does the healing process look like?
- During the first 24 hours, the color will appear darker and more saturated because the skin is fresh and some pigment remains visible on the surface. Between days two and four, the skin will begin to heal and tighten.
- Keep the treated area clean and free of makeup while it heals. Lip clients will receive additional food-related aftercare instructions for the first week. Most visible healing takes approximately 10–14 days.
Can you work over previous permanent makeup?
- In many cases, yes. Depending on the color, shape, and saturation of the existing permanent makeup, color neutralization or laser lightening may be recommended before new work can be completed.
